Partnership portal: adding a domain
Once you’ve got a domain, proceed with the steps below.
To add the domain to your branded portal, act as follows:
1. Create a CNAME record
You need to integrate your domain which is made the same way as a custom tracking domain, via creating a CNAME record, but in case of the branded portal domain settings, your CNAME record should point to pub.redtrack.io.
In your domain registrar (in our case it’s GoDaddy) go to DNS → DNS Records → Add New Record:
- Type: CNAME
- Name: use the subdomain you want for the partnership portal (e.g., portal, pub, or something else, it’s totally up to you). This will become part of your full branded portal URL (example: portal.yourdomain.com)
- Value: pub.redtrack.io
- TTL: choose the lowest option possible

2. Create a TXT record
Create a TXT record in your domain settings to make sure that your partners/publishers get your e-mails.
In your domain registrar (in our case it’s GoDaddy) go to DNS → DNS Records → Add New Record:
- Type: TXT
- Name: pub.redtrack.io
- Value: v=spf1 include:mail.redtrack.dev~all
- TTL: choose the lowest option possible

3. Add the domain to RedTrack
Once the CNAME and TXT records are added, add the custom tracking domain to RedTrack.
1. RedTrack → Partnership portal → Domains → Create new domain:

2. Fill in the mandatory fields → Save:

Fields explained:
In the URL field you add sub-domain you have just added to your registrar (example: mytracking.domain.com).
– ilona is the name you put in your domain registrar in the field “Name”.
– redtrackfan.club is the domain you have purchased and for which you added the CNAME.
We are extra cautious about our service, so RedTrack generates certificates using open-source Let’s Encrypt technology, which claims to be free, automated, and open certificate authority (CA) run for the public’s benefit (it is a service provided by the Internet Security Research Group (ISRG)).
However, you can decline using free SSL and purchase an SSL certificate on your own. Gogetssl is a good service for this purpose.
Free SSL certificate setup
All you need to do is enable the Free SSL toggle:

Once the certificate is due, press the Reissue button to update your SSL certificate:

– If the first one failed to issue for some reason.
– If your certificate is about to expire. In this case you don’t need to wait till the very expiration day, but reissue the certificate in advance.
If for some reason the certificate issue persists, email [email protected].
Purchased SSL certificate setup
Once you’ve purchased an SSL certificate, you need to add this Certificate and its Key to the corresponding fields in the RT domain form:
